writing resolutions on new year's day has been a habit of mine for a long time. it gives me a chance to reflect on the passing year and try to start the new year off on the right foot. i do try to stay focused on the resolutions longer than the first 30 days. i've actually managed to resolve some concerns but i suspect it has more to do with the fact that, every year, i seem to focus on the same things....which means i haven't picked up any new vices.....but the old bad habits are difficult to shake.
my faith. every year, it captures the number one spot. it means: go to church more consistently. stop being lazy. it means: learn about religion. it means: pray. more. it means: have the sort of inner glow that shines for everybody.
love. show my family, my friends and humanity in general the good stuff. not the frustration, the anger, the judgmental attitude, the impatience.
health. healthier living. eating better. exercise. vitamins. sunscreen. dental floss.
embrace life. let go of the excuses. stop wasting time. stay passionate. be brave.
good habits. spend less. save more. be punctual. give thanks. find the humour. don't be so serious.
have a happy new year...
